We are delighted to share that the Florian Foundation has completed the Water Hand Pump Access Restoration Project at Khushpur 51 G.B Graveyard.

  • Under supervision: Mr. Anil Irfan closely oversaw every stage of the project—from planning to implementation—ensuring timely completion and quality workmanship.



💧 Why This Project Matters

For a long time, Khushpur graveyard had no functional hand pump. Existing hand-pumps had been broken for years, causing significant hardship during funeral services and other rites. Mourners needed water for washing their hands and feet, and during the preparation of graves, they were often forced to bring water from their homes.

This cemetery is very large, and there are graves of thousands of Christians here. There are also graves of many foreigners here. There are many personalities in this cemetery who will always be remembered, including one important name, Shahbaz Bhatti (Former Minister of Minorities Affairs of Pakistan).

This project was undertaken to ensure improved access to clean water for visitors and caretakers of the graveyard. We are grateful for the cooperation of Peter Bhatti and Jerard Bhatti, those involved in making this initiative possible.
